The present report provides an overview of 14 papers dealing with pressuremeter tests (PMTs) and dilatometer tests (DMTs). These papers include many subjects in relation with geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics and engineering geology. Pressuremeter tests and dilatometer tests are used for the assessment of site stratigraphy and ground type (soils and rocks), the derivation of geotechnical design parameters, the calibration of constitutive laws for numerical modelling and the design of geotechnical structures, especially deep foundations with a direct use of measured data. This report presents the application fields of these two materials.
