Preoperative evaluation of the blood supply of the stomach appears to be helpful for planning surgical strategy and both to prevent and reduce intra and postoperative complications. Angiography not only allows for the diagnosis of particular diseases but also permits both the preoperative definition of the gastric arterial supply in the individual patient and detection of vascular anomalies. The authors report the results of routine angiographic evaluation of the gastric blood supply in patients undergoing gastric surgery for benign and malignant disease.

Abstract
Preoperative evaluation of the blood supply of the stomach appears to be helpful for planning surgical strategy and both to prevent and reduce intra and postoperative complications. Angiography not only allows for the diagnosis of particular diseases but also permits both the preoperative definition of the gastric arterial supply in the individual patient and detection of vascular anomalies. The authors report the results of routine angiographic evaluation of the gastric blood supply in patients undergoing gastric surgery for benign and malignant disease.File in questo prodotto:
