The present article describes the methodological criteria assumed to define and tune a finite element three-dimensional numeric model of a circular electromagnetic structure interacting with a disk-shaped multi-layer metallic armature. This model simulates the operation of an equipment constructed to represent the electromagnetic structure of a testing system, subject of previous scientific publications, reproducing the dynamic behaviour of a magnetic levitation vehicle. This equipment is essentially composed of an annulus-shaped inductive structure able to rotate around its own vertical axis, coupled with a dragging motor, and of a disk-shaped multilayer (Fe-Al) metallic armature. The parametric model has allowed to simulate the system and to analyse in detail all the magnetic interaction phenomena. The simulation results show a good match with the test results. The study moreover contains a graphic representation of the space distribution of some significant electromagnetic quantities.

Abstract
The study moreover contains a graphic representation of the space distribution of some significant electromagnetic quantities.Pubblicazioni consigliate
