Background Odontomas are thÃ¨ most common benign odontogenic tumors (espedally in children and adolescente) and consistof odontogenic ectomesenchyma and odontogenic epithelium with thÃ¨ formation of dentai hard tissues. They are also simplyconsÃ¬dered hamartomas. The WHO C/assification defines them as comptex and compound odontomas. The diagnosis is often occasionai, in conjunction with x-ray routine examinations, or it is suggested by eruptÃ¬on disorders or abnormal position of teeth in thÃ¨ dentai arch. The mainstay therapy is surgical excision of thÃ¨ tesion fo/lowed by orthodontic treatment to fa/re in thÃ¨ arch thÃ¨ impacted teeth. Case report The aim of this work is thÃ¨ presentation of a case of mandibular bilateral compound odontoma in a young paf/enf, and thÃ¨ confocal laser scanning microscopie analysis of thÃ¨ surgical spedmens.
