Abstract

Background Odontomas are thè most common benign odontogenic tumors (espedally in children and adolescente) and consistof odontogenic ectomesenchyma and odontogenic epithelium with thè formation of dentai hard tissues. The mainstay therapy is surgical excision of thè tesion fo/lowed by orthodontic treatment to fa/re in thè arch thè impacted teeth. Case report The aim of this work is thè presentation of a case of mandibular bilateral compound odontoma in a young paf/enf, and thè confocal laser scanning microscopie analysis of thè surgical spedmens.
