ABSTRACT. ASSESSMENT OF MICROCLIMATIC CONDITIONS IN OPEN SPACE OFFICES THROUGH MORE THAN 600 MEASUREMENTS. From June 2002 to September 2003, 16 different open space building of telecommunication companies were studied to evaluate the environmental comfort by microclimate, ventilation, illumination and indoor air quality (IAQ), particularly CO2. In three establishments we administered a questionnaire for comfort/discomfort self perceived evaluation in work office. We observed a good correlation with technical rules for thermal environment and indoor air quality. The IAQ was always good, this is an indirect proof of good work of ventilation systems and air changes. Group disorders were observed in areas near radiant heath and air humidification. No sick building syndromes were noted, nevertheless psychological factor might be considered as important co-factor, especially in the medium and long time.
