In this Chapter, chemical studies of medieval wall paintings in Ocre (L’Aquila, Italy) are presented. During the latest restoration campaign, micro-invasive SEM-EDS analyses were performed in order to determine the composition of original pigments. SEM images, moreover, allowed to define the techniques used to realize the pictorial cycle. A brief explanation of the technique has been also added for a sake of clarity of the readers.

Abstract
