Abstract

CLCL resonant converters represent an interesting and emerging high order resonant converter topology. In this paper, some modeling methods have been introduced and analyzed in detail with special emphasis on their frequency characteristics. Hence, a small signal model has been set up and a control to output transfer function has been obtained by using the state-space method. Then, frequency characteristics related to different component parameters have been investigated and a systematic modeling approach for derivative topologies with higher order resonant tanks has been proposed. The relevance of obtained results has been further demonstrated through experimental tests.
