The magnetic coupling between two circular coils is a classical electromagnetic problem which is of interest in many different fields. While existing analytical models make quite strong assumptions on the relative position and assume a quasi-static approximation, the present contribution aims to provide an analytical full-wave model for the magnetic coupling between two parallel thin-wire circular loop antennas. The proposed model is tested by comparison with the results available in literature under the above-mentioned limitations and by numerical integration showing accuracy and reduced computation time.

Abstract
