Abstract
The architecture of the Seaside and Mountain summer holiday camps built in Abruzzo which began to appear in the thirties represents a significant form of cultural heritage for its testimonial value of the administrative reorganization processes that affected this area and the documentary value of the complex in the events affecting modern Italian architecture and its implications with the regime, which, in the specific shape of the holiday camps found their full and articulated expression, not just under a modernist light. The new building type becomes the privileged area of a design experimentation characterized by a strong diversification on the distributional, formal and constructive level. This distinctive feature can be found equally in the Abruzzo experience, which in the national context is relevant for quality and quality. This paper proposes a critical point of view about the Abruzzo summer holiday camps that considers the type in the functional, distributive and organizational aspects of the spaces and its morphological relationships in relation to the environmental context and takes them as useful parameters to the codification of the specificity and singularity of the design resultsPubblicazioni consigliate
