A procedure for the analysis of the variability causes, affecting the advanced control flow for a mechatronic system used as a part of CPS, in an Industry 4.0 context, is described. Experimental results are used as a test-case to define, apply and validate some actions implemented in order to take control of the informative flow. Some of them focus on the fulfillment of particular formal aspects, which are considered as prerequisites for the application of the data-processing procedure. Some others are considered substantial i.e. linked to the physical interpretation of the monitored phenomena. The results show that an effective reduction of variability of outputs of the algorithms in an Industry 4.0 context can be obtained.

Abstract
A procedure for the analysis of the variability causes, affecting the advanced control flow for a mechatronic system used as a part of CPS, in an Industry 4.0 context, is described. Experimental results are used as a test-case to define, apply and validate some actions implemented in order to take control of the informative flow. Some of them focus on the fulfillment of particular formal aspects, which are considered as prerequisites for the application of the data-processing procedure. Some others are considered substantial i.e. linked to the physical interpretation of the monitored phenomena. The results show that an effective reduction of variability of outputs of the algorithms in an Industry 4.0 context can be obtained.Pubblicazioni consigliate
