EBA RHOON. Una nota esegetica al Tirsi teocriteo

Nel primo Idillio di Teocrito la volontaria morte nell'acqua scelta da Dafni per porre fine alle sue sofferenze d'amore ha un forte valore simbolico. Da un'attenta analisi interna del testo, inoltre, emerge che il luogo della campagna siciliana dove avviene l'incontro tra l'anonimo capraio e Tirsi, e dove quest'ultimo si esibisce nel suo canto pastorale sulle sofferenze di Dafni, non è un luogo qualunque, ma esattamente il luogo dove si riteneva fosse annegato, di sua volontà, l'eroe bucolico.

In the first Idyll of Theocritus the voluntary death in the river's water by Daphnis, who wants to stop his suffering for love, has an important symbolic meaning. Moreover, a thorough analysis of the text demonstrates that the place in the Sicilian country where took place the meeting between the anonymous goatherd and Thyrsis, and where this one sings about Daphnis suffering for love, is exactly the same place where, according to the myth, Daphnis died in the water.
