In recent years IoT systems have become important and have covered any type of application. The most important network infrastructure used for the development of IoT applications is the Wi-Fi network, as it is widespread and easy to install. In some cases, Wi-Fi technology is not easily applicable, such as in large hospital buildings. The following work proposes the use of the Powerline network as an alternative network to the realization of IoT systems. More in detail, in this paper an IoT system for monitoring the values of the oximeter in a hospital environment is described and discussed.

Abstract
In recent years IoT systems have become important and have covered any type of application. The most important network infrastructure used for the development of IoT applications is the Wi-Fi network, as it is widespread and easy to install. In some cases, Wi-Fi technology is not easily applicable, such as in large hospital buildings. The following work proposes the use of the Powerline network as an alternative network to the realization of IoT systems. More in detail, in this paper an IoT system for monitoring the values of the oximeter in a hospital environment is described and discussed.File in questo prodotto:
