“The PAGe” - A Digital Thesaurus of Pennsylvania German is a project of Digital Humanities carried out by an interdisciplinary research group at the University of L’Aquila, Italy.1 Its overall aim is the creation of a digital thesaurus of the Pennsylvania German language, based on different and heterogeneous linguistic resources, dating from different periods. Due to its long contact with American English and to the lack of a received standard, this idiom presents features that opened quite of a linguistic challenge.
