The applicability of the time-reversal theory by the pseudospectral time-domain method is investigated to localize a medical implant equipped with an ultrawideband radio and embedded in a randomly lossy dielectric medium. A localization algorithm is implemented and tested for various test cases. A comparative analysis with the finite difference time-domain method implementation is performed in terms of memory occupation and computational time.

Abstract
The applicability of the time-reversal theory by the pseudospectral time-domain method is investigated to localize a medical implant equipped with an ultrawideband radio and embedded in a randomly lossy dielectric medium. A localization algorithm is implemented and tested for various test cases. A comparative analysis with the finite difference time-domain method implementation is performed in terms of memory occupation and computational time.Pubblicazioni consigliate
