In this paper, a nonlinear impulsive observer for a class of Lipschitz nonlinear systems with time-varying uncertainties is investigated. The observer uses discrete time measurements of the system output. A time-varying Lyapunov function is used to show that, under sufficient conditions based on linear matrix inequalities, the estimation error is globally practically stable at the origin. The dynamic observer is tested on an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract

In this paper, a nonlinear impulsive observer for a class of Lipschitz nonlinear systems with time-varying uncertainties is investigated. The observer uses discrete time measurements of the system output. A time-varying Lyapunov function is used to show that, under sufficient conditions based on linear matrix inequalities, the estimation error is globally practically stable at the origin. The dynamic observer is tested on an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
