Abstract
Parks in the Network: the Corridor Contract In the wide area planning tools is still deficient, in too many cases, the efficiency of "ecological networks" since (albeit expected) are rarely included in regional frameworks (in Italy only four cases). Therefore, the municipal planning is normally not particularly atten-tive to the land ecosystem structure and often some important areas are occupied by roads and built-up areas. The Corridor Con-tract is a tool that could steer municipalities towards more sustainable behavior for potential ecological connections. It is a volun-tary commitment among public authorities (regions, municipalities, protected areas) and owners present in a certain territory, aimed at the protection of the interstitial spaces between areas of high biodiversity recognized.Pubblicazioni consigliate
