This work aims to the definition of the requirements of a new pre-impregnated high-performance material to be 3D printed. The compression molding process was used as a reference for the transformation of the new prepregs to eco-sustainable matrix to be made flush in order to be fused and deposited with a FDM 3D printer. Furthermore, the main characteristics that the matrix must have in order to be used to produce prepreg (viscosity, pot-life, shelf-life, etc.) have been identified and here presented. Finally, a commercial printer has been modified and used for filament test deposition.

Abstract
This work aims to the definition of the requirements of a new pre-impregnated high-performance material to be 3D printed. The compression molding process was used as a reference for the transformation of the new prepregs to eco-sustainable matrix to be made flush in order to be fused and deposited with a FDM 3D printer. Furthermore, the main characteristics that the matrix must have in order to be used to produce prepreg (viscosity, pot-life, shelf-life, etc.) have been identified and here presented. Finally, a commercial printer has been modified and used for filament test deposition.File in questo prodotto:
