A new kind of chipless tag based on dual polarized Van Atta array made with an Ultra Wide Band microstrip patch antenna is proposed. The rationale of the antenna model and the design of a prototype is shown and discussed in comparison with a similar tag array developed with narrowband antenna elements. The achieved results show an unambiguous spectral signature and an improved reading distance that has been estimated in 1m in real environment using an array of only two elements. © 2021 IEEE.

Abstract
A new kind of chipless tag based on dual polarized Van Atta array made with an Ultra Wide Band microstrip patch antenna is proposed. The rationale of the antenna model and the design of a prototype is shown and discussed in comparison with a similar tag array developed with narrowband antenna elements. The achieved results show an unambiguous spectral signature and an improved reading distance that has been estimated in 1m in real environment using an array of only two elements. © 2021 IEEE.File in questo prodotto:
