Alter Hesiodus: remarks on the epilogue of Callimachus’ Aetia · There is an open and complex critic debate on the epilogue of the Aetia (fr. 112 Hard. = 112 Pf.), concerning both the reconstruction of the fragmentary text and its interpretation. Starting from some of the most convincing proposals which have been suggested by the scholars for the reconstruction of the text, this contribute focuses the exegetical analysis on two issues: the function of the epilogue in the structural frame of the Aetia and its relationship with the model represented by the Hesiodic poetry.
