The paper deals with the torque ripple analysis in Synchronous Reluctance Motors (SRM) by using two different approaches for flux and torque calculation. The first one evaluates the d-q fluxes profiles by simultaneously feeding the stator windings with d-axis and q-axis currents; in the second one the currents are imposed separately and the fluxes are calculated superimposing their effects. Both methods are used for the torque ripple calculation in a SRM with multiple-segment rotor by means of the Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The results concerning the two approaches are presented and discussed.

Abstract
The paper deals with the torque ripple analysis in Synchronous Reluctance Motors (SRM) by using two different approaches for flux and torque calculation. The first one evaluates the d-q fluxes profiles by simultaneously feeding the stator windings with d-axis and q-axis currents; in the second one the currents are imposed separately and the fluxes are calculated superimposing their effects. Both methods are used for the torque ripple calculation in a SRM with multiple-segment rotor by means of the Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The results concerning the two approaches are presented and discussed.File in questo prodotto:
