In this paper a simple selective harmonic elimination procedure is proposed for 5-level cascaded H-bridge inverters. It considers the fundamental switching frequency and through a matrix-vector product returns two switching angles which allow either to fix the fundamental harmonic amplitude deleting the third harmonic, or deleting both the third and the fifth harmonics, without imposing any constraint on the fundamental wave. Simulation results have been compared with those returned by a total harmonic distortion (THD) minimization graphic procedure.

Abstract
In this paper a simple selective harmonic elimination procedure is proposed for 5-level cascaded H-bridge inverters. It considers the fundamental switching frequency and through a matrix-vector product returns two switching angles which allow either to fix the fundamental harmonic amplitude deleting the third harmonic, or deleting both the third and the fifth harmonics, without imposing any constraint on the fundamental wave. Simulation results have been compared with those returned by a total harmonic distortion (THD) minimization graphic procedure.File in questo prodotto:
