Abstract
Henri Bergson's Duration and Simultaneity ratified the break between philosophy and science in the 20th century. For the French philosopher, Peter and Paul, the two twins of the famous thought experiment, have the consistency of ghosts. They are perspective projections created by Lorenz's equations. Therefore, special Relativity is not enough to penetrate the 'real'. According to Bergson, only philosophical method , i.e., the method of intuition, can do it. Duration and Simultaneity is a book of philosophy, not of physics. Its topic is certainly the physics of relativity, but only in order to answer to a philosophical problem: what is real?Pubblicazioni consigliate
