Ricostruire le immagini attraverso la stampa 3D: applicazione ai reperti archeologici di Amiternum (AQ)

The documentation, analysis, valorisation and fruition processes of cultural heritage can today benefit from the many advantages deriving from the use of innovative technologies and digital tools that enable the definition of different solutions capable of improving accessibility to heritage by removing physical and cultural barriers. The research illustrated here analyses the potential of digital survey systems and 3D printing, taking as case studies the finds discovered during excavation activities at the archaeological site of Amiternum (AQ). Starting from the digital replica obtained by laser scanning, physical prototypes were created to support the process of reconstructing the mental image of these finds by persons with visual difficulties.
