The results of a study on the changes of the condylar osseous density in disfunctional TMJ pathology by CT investigation and tomodensitometric elaboration of the images in 45 patients with unilateral cranio-mandibular disfunctional pain sindrome, are reported. An increase of the osseous density in one condylar area at least in all the cases was verified in the symptomatic side. The Authors think these CT data very significative, besides confirming the validity of the high resolution and diagnostic incisivity of the “structural analysis”, also they show that in tha early cranio.-mandibular disfunctional pain syndrome may be documented an anatomopathological substratum.
