The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) performances, as well as the acquisition time (Tacq), of MR images acquired with different MEG-MRI prototypes are compared. The comparison is between the Los Alamos (LA) MEG-MRI experimental setup based on 30 mT prepolarization pulses, parallel SQUID signal detection (7 double axial gradiometers) at 46 μT [1] and a recent prototype from ITA and Chieti University (IC) without prepolarization and with a static 8.9mT field [2]. The latter has two different MRI detection schemes but only data from the room temperature volume resonant saddle coil are considered here.
