Gay Culture e American Musical da Busby Berke- ley a Betty Grable aims at plumbing the dynamics of (homo)sexual desire hidden in the American musical cinematography of the 30s, from the introduction of Hays code to the advent of Technicolor. Placing the presented argumentations under the dialectal method of queer theories, the implications with BDSM, kitsch and camp, the American musical reveals itself as a gender performative space for the expression of polymorphic sexualities.
