The moving of either the reader or the tag compensates for the lack of bandwidth in localizing a target in the context of UHF RFID. This is the case of Synthetic Aperture methods for moving tagged objects. Here, an alternative model of Synthetic Aperture is proposed, it relies on the concept of multiple baseline synthetic array. Simulative results show that the proposed model permits to achieve good accuracy in localizing a moving tag (or reader) in different multipath conditions. Furthermore, it gives an indication of the reliability of the estimated position depending on the strength of the multipath. © 2019 IEEE.

Abstract
The moving of either the reader or the tag compensates for the lack of bandwidth in localizing a target in the context of UHF RFID. This is the case of Synthetic Aperture methods for moving tagged objects. Here, an alternative model of Synthetic Aperture is proposed, it relies on the concept of multiple baseline synthetic array. Simulative results show that the proposed model permits to achieve good accuracy in localizing a moving tag (or reader) in different multipath conditions. Furthermore, it gives an indication of the reliability of the estimated position depending on the strength of the multipath. © 2019 IEEE.File in questo prodotto:
