General introduction to frame the context of the proposed policy/project/research: The research “Regional Regeneration in Disaster-Affected Areas” is situated in two innovative fields of research, that of regional regeneration, which extends studies on urban regeneration to the territory, and that of the dynamics of disaster-affected areas that present conditions of marginality and social, economic and cultural disparity often amplified by a non-advantageous geographical location. Objectives of the proposed policy/project/research: The main objective of the research is to identify spatial regeneration policies and strategies in geographical areas that can be considered “special”, those affected by natural and man-made disasters and characterised by fragile conditions. At the methodological level, the research is divided into three phases: i) the study of scientific literature and existing national and international cases, ii) the definition of a methodology for regional analysis aimed at defining spatial policies and strategies for regeneration, iii) and experimentation on case studies. Results of the proposed policy/project/research: The research is currently in the development of the first phase and therefore in the collection of sources and case studies. In the paper, the preliminary results of this phase will be presented, with particular reference to the critical factors explained by case studies that already present a regeneration approach.

Abstract
In the paper, the preliminary results of this phase will be presented, with particular reference to the critical factors explained by case studies that already present a regeneration approach.Pubblicazioni consigliate
