This paper deals with the mitigation of magnetic field emissions produced by dynamic wireless power transfer (DWPT) systems. Passive compensation loops are proposed as an effective mitigation technique in the case of a DWPT system having the configuration used in the European Fabric project, for which the field levels do not greatly exceed the reference levels (RLs) of the ICNIRP 2010 guidelines. The proposed solution based on passive compensation loops is simple, economical, and robust. However, as the DWPT coils are not immune to external fields such as those produced by the passive compensation circuits themselves, particular attention must be paid in their design. Finally, the investigation performed by numerical simulations will show that the proposed configuration of a DWPT system with compensation loops complies with the ICNIRP RLs.
