The article discusses an empirical study on agilework (remoteworking) inItaly,withasociological perspective. Asiswellknown,theCOVID‐19pandemicshockhasledto asignificant increaseintheattentionpaidtothisissue,as longasithas“forced”millionsofpeopletoexperiencethis kindofwork. Thisgreat social experimentationhasalso triggered a reconsideration of important concepts of everydaylifesuchasthoseoftimeandspace,amongmany others. Starting fromthis preliminary assumption, ana tionalempiricalstudyonagileworkwasconductedatthe DepartmentofHumanSciencesattheItalianUniversityof L’Aquilaresortingtoaqualitativeapproach.Theresearch wasachievedbyconducting64 in‐depth interviewswith womenacrossthecountry,highlightingandexploringthe multiplecriticalelementsandstrengthsof theagilework experience fromMarch 2020 lockdown to September 2021. It isclearfromtheresearchthatemergencystrate gies on the topic of agileworking arenot adequate: a paradigmshift isneeded.
