Artigiani della poesia: la rappresentazione del poeta nella critica letteraria antica

The aim of this paper is to highlight the techniques of representation of the poet in the reflections of ancient philosophers and literary critics. One of the most effective modes of representation is the parallel between the image of the poet and that of the craftsman and the figures who practised different figurative arts, i.e. the sculptor and the painter. In this way, the traditional poetic vision of the poet compared with the figurative artist is revitalised and refunctionalised.
