This paper, focused on enhancing the role of the agricultural landscape through the creation of an attractive place for the community, arises from a need to enhance and regenerate a territory that is an example of many realities of the suburban countryside in the south of the Lazio region, with vast agricultural lands and various productive activities that are currently subject to continuous transformations due to a constant need to adapt to technological change and market logic. In this perspective, the objective of the design experimentation is to provide an example of an architectural space that encourages the community to frequent these places, making them witnesses of the culture that these centuries-old industriousness can offer, but from a different perspective and contemporary perspective. The design of a building in the context of an oil mill in operation since 1860 in the municipality of Arpino (FR) has as its objective an architectural research, whose primary conceptual content triggers a strong link between the new artifact and the agricultural landscape. Architecture is systematized with the natural landscape, integrating with it and taking it as a ‘preponderant structural reference’. The project in the search for soul of places re-elaborates the function of a building at the service of culture (an artists’ residence) in the digital age, creating through architecture an innovative sensorial experience for the communication and representation of art and the olive oil tradition, so intrinsically connected to the place.

Abstract
The project in the search for soul of places re-elaborates the function of a building at the service of culture (an artists’ residence) in the digital age, creating through architecture an innovative sensorial experience for the communication and representation of art and the olive oil tradition, so intrinsically connected to the place.Pubblicazioni consigliate
