The Campiglia d’Orcia Marri and Venturi hoards represent two cornerstones in the peridization systems of Central Italy EBA. To date, however, there was no systematic edition of both these two main bronze complexes and a third group of axes and ingots known as “Acquisto Marri 1924”, probably part of the homonymous hoard. The study provided the basis for a systematic review of a wide bronzework area, between the Cecina and Fiora and, inwards, up to the Amiata complex and the Val d’Elsa, which is considered to be expression of the metallurgical Scoglietto-Montemerano facies as defined by R. Peroni (1996, 72) and, according to the Scholar, postulated in an arbitrary way, only because of the partial topographic overlap of this metallurgical aspect with some ceramic groups of the Sienese and Grosseto province. Particularly, a revision of the axe sequence will be presented that, while confirming the basis of previous studies, has allowed a more coherent articulation of the sequence, through a better definition of designs and a global rationalization of the typological grid.

Abstract
Particularly, a revision of the axe sequence will be presented that, while confirming the basis of previous studies, has allowed a more coherent articulation of the sequence, through a better definition of designs and a global rationalization of the typological grid.Pubblicazioni consigliate
