Discursive signals, with their fundamental role in textual construction and communicative progression, represent one of the main obstacles that Italian students face when learning Spanish. There has been, however, a general lack of contrastive studies taking into account the peculiarities of both linguistic systems. It is, therefore, the first time, and not only in Italy, that a contrastive work of this kind and scope appears in print. It avails itself of an ample and focused bibliography and presents, on several points, an original contribution not only from a contrastive standpoint but also, more specifically, from the viewpoint of Spanish and, in some ways, Italian linguistics.

Abstract
Discursive signals, with their fundamental role in textual construction and communicative progression, represent one of the main obstacles that Italian students face when learning Spanish. There has been, however, a general lack of contrastive studies taking into account the peculiarities of both linguistic systems. It is, therefore, the first time, and not only in Italy, that a contrastive work of this kind and scope appears in print. It avails itself of an ample and focused bibliography and presents, on several points, an original contribution not only from a contrastive standpoint but also, more specifically, from the viewpoint of Spanish and, in some ways, Italian linguistics.Pubblicazioni consigliate
