We report an experimental characterization of the spectral distortion induced by stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in WDM transmission over randomly-coupled multi-core fibers. The measured spectral power tilt results in a Raman gain coefficient of similar magnitude as in standard single-mode fibers, consistent with the modeling of SRS in the presence of strong mode mixing.

Abstract
We report an experimental characterization of the spectral distortion induced by stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in WDM transmission over randomly-coupled multi-core fibers. The measured spectral power tilt results in a Raman gain coefficient of similar magnitude as in standard single-mode fibers, consistent with the modeling of SRS in the presence of strong mode mixing.File in questo prodotto:
