The paper deals with the analysis of the influence of the control–loops on the behaviour of induction machines affected from stator short-circuits. A field-oriented control of induction motor drive is considered, adopting a classical control scheme. The influence of the fault on the components of the stator currents is analysed. The performances as diagnostic indexes of current components are shown.
