Comparison of results obtained by MM and SE shows a different degree of obstruction both at retropalatal ( p= 0.01) and at retrolingual level ( p= 0.03), confirming that SE is a method essential for adequate evaluation of patient with apnea. It appears as indispensable test especially to surgical planning of patient snoring and / or suffering from OSAS. It must always be performed during the the preoperative investigations. In the operating room it can be done at the time of anesthetic induction .
