The paper presents the design results of power and traction system for electric bus, with carrying capacity of about 30 passengers, working in aboveground urban public transportation grid. The power architectural foresees two permanent magnet synchronous motors, one for each wheel, fed by an inverter that is linked to the batteries. The main components have been designed according the requirements related to the work of bus; the performances of motor have been evaluated and presented.

Abstract
