An analysis is carried out for two magnetically coupled coils used for wireless power transfer in implanted medical devices. The quasi-static magnetic field is analyzed by the finite element method (FEM) and the self and mutual lumped inductances of the coupled coils are derived. A parametric analysis is also performed varying the mutual position of the coils. Finally, the safety aspects against electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure are investigated.

Abstract
An analysis is carried out for two magnetically coupled coils used for wireless power transfer in implanted medical devices. The quasi-static magnetic field is analyzed by the finite element method (FEM) and the self and mutual lumped inductances of the coupled coils are derived. A parametric analysis is also performed varying the mutual position of the coils. Finally, the safety aspects against electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure are investigated.File in questo prodotto:
