Aim of this retrospective study is to evaluate the recurrence risk factors of febrile seizures in children hospitalised in Pediatric clinic for a first seizure. The sample consists of 183 children observed during 1991-2001 years with diagnosis of febrile seizure. The recurrence risk factors observed and statistically significant are the age under 1 year and family history of febrile seizures or epilepsy. Statistically analysis shows that several family member with seizures increases the risk of recurrence convulsion. This observation is very important to establish the prevention of the first febrile seizure also
