Sustainable networks in the post seismic rehabilitation of the minor centres

ln the current global energy crisis, the need to revise the ways of designing has brought attention to the redevelopment of criteria for energy efficiency. However, when the ob­ject of intervention is rich in values, introducing principles of sustainability in the recovery process is a complex objective: this is the case for the small towns that characterize the inner part of Abruzzo Region , in ltaly. The interest for these centres struck by the earthquake of Aprii 6, 2009, offered the opportunity to carry out research that can rediscover the environmental sustainability elements presents, to identify intervention environments and the technological solu­tions. The research, identified the main issues affecting the minor centres, examines the measures launched by Italian Govemment to activate reconstruction and energy compliance politicies. Having identified the limitations, this work provides an operative methodology that leads to the determination of strategie actions in the territory involving more towns, in order to create a relation system between the centres, making the energy redevelopment organic and ef­fective.
