this paper the measurement requirements are described, which refer to the situation when companies are called to extend their monitoring ability of production lines, being able to carry on this goal only during commissioning. Improved monitoring performances could be for instance energy issues, aimed to a reduction of consumptions and of related costs and/or mechanical and thermo-fluid dynamic streamlining. In many industrial sectors (sanitary, packaging, pharmaceutical, …) an innovative solution, with respect to the production conditions, is necessary because of the unusual monitoring conditions, which are established by the activities of the commissioning process itself. The proposed solutions should be easy to install and to interface with the industrial system to test, without interfering with the commissioning activities, integrated in the control and monitoring system of the production line, and able to exchange information with it. Taking into account these considerations, some actions are described with reference to the measurement procedure, able to correctly work during the scenario of the acceptance test and to supply the requested information. The provided solutions have been experimentally tested and carefully examined by a metrological point of view. The results show that this approach could improve accuracy of measurements with reference to both the specific monitoring needs of commissioning (all to the good of the supplier) and the monitoring requirements during normal production period (all to the good of the customer).

Abstract

this paper the measurement requirements are described, which refer to the situation when companies are called to extend their monitoring ability of production lines, being able to carry on this goal only during commissioning.
