Abstract
Nowcast and forecast of space weather need real time measurements of the terrestrial plasma environment and models that are suitable to describe the evolution of the system. PLASMON, a global collaboration of 11 institutions funded by the EU (FP/-SPACE) aims at near real-time monitoring the state of plasmasphere. This paper discusses the requirements for the instrumentation which make the recorded data suitable to achieve the adressed scientific goals and some preliminary results are shown.File in questo prodotto:
