In this paper the long term behaviour of a couple of double T precast, prestressed concrete members made of SCC and ordinary concrete was compared. Creep and shrinkage were also monitored on laboratory specimens, and the experimental data compared with those calculated according to Eurocode 2 (EC2) [1] formulations. As a result, experimental data showed that long term behaviour of precast-prestressed elements in SCC does not significantly differ from that of similar elements made in ordinary concrete of similar strength. As regards modelling, values and formulae provided by Eurocode resulted in underestimation of creep and shrinkage in both normal and self-compacting concrete.

Abstract
In this paper the long term behaviour of a couple of double T precast, prestressed concrete members made of SCC and ordinary concrete was compared. Creep and shrinkage were also monitored on laboratory specimens, and the experimental data compared with those calculated according to Eurocode 2 (EC2) [1] formulations. As a result, experimental data showed that long term behaviour of precast-prestressed elements in SCC does not significantly differ from that of similar elements made in ordinary concrete of similar strength. As regards modelling, values and formulae provided by Eurocode resulted in underestimation of creep and shrinkage in both normal and self-compacting concrete.Pubblicazioni consigliate
