Abstract

Using solar wind data recorded by the Helios-2 spacecraft at 0.3 AU we analyse MHD turbulence by means of continuous wavelet transform. This new technique, differently from FFT technique, provides a good spatial and temporal resolution. This feature allows to study in more detail local properties of solar wind turbulence. Power density spectra computed via wavelet tranform have been compared to spectra obtained from Fast Fourier Transform technique as our preliminary approach to this new technique.
