We studied in immature rdw rats, after thyroxine (T4) and gonadotropins stimulation, the induction of corpus luteum (CL) angiogenesis. T4 plus gonadotropins administration promoted in rdw rats morphological as well as biomolecular expression of CL angiogenesis. After gonadotropins only administration CL have not been found in rdw rat ovaries. Thus, we suggest that in gonadotropin-primed rdw rat ovaries restoration of full ovarian function was associated to T4-regulation of gene expression of luteal angiogenic factors.
