Abstract
In a free-piston Stirling engine, due to the absence of a crank mechanism, the determination of the dynamic behavior with respect to changes in its operating parameters is more difficult than in kinematic drive engines. The mathematical model summarized in the paper is used both to define some analytical relations useful for the design of the engine, in order to assure to it, in advance, a correct and stable operation, and to quantitatively evaluate its dynamic response to external load variations.File in questo prodotto:
