This paper deal with a preliminary dynamic analysis of soil stress connected to trains traffic. Two different system types of transportation guided based on wheelon- rail and contactless magnetically levitated bogies are considered and modeled by three-dimensional multi-body analysis method. The models instantaneously provide the spatial strengths on the track due to the transit of the bogie varying the system parameters; the strengths are calculated for the joints situated at the centre of the connections between rail/guide-way and sleepers. For both the systems, dynamic analyses are performed in the same work conditions and the results are compared in term of time histories.

Abstract

This paper deal with a preliminary dynamic analysis of soil stress connected to trains traffic. Two different system types of transportation guided based on wheelon- rail and contactless magnetically levitated bogies are considered and modeled by three-dimensional multi-body analysis method. The models instantaneously provide the spatial strengths on the track due to the transit of the bogie varying the system parameters; the strengths are calculated for the joints situated at the centre of the connections between rail/guide-way and sleepers. For both the systems, dynamic analyses are performed in the same work conditions and the results are compared in term of time histories.
