ABSTRACT. CLINICAL AND HYGIENISTIC EVALUATION OF SEVEN EVENTS OF BRI (BUILDING RELATED ILLNESS) IN OFFICE BUILDINGS. From 1995 to 2003 the Authors observed seven cases of BRI. Only in the case of a big store, in which workers suffered from a Monday fever, they found a specific risk factor due to molds and bacteria in humidifiers. All the other cases showed a low level of environmental humidity together with a high level of stress in employees. Out of a total sum of 707 people, 152 (21,5%) suffered from some disorders. Moreover 23 workers had to leave work for at 1east one day and 14 of them found some difficultieS in going back to work in the following weeks.
