In this paper the transient analysis of pulsed electromagnetic field in a two-dimensional domain filled by ions and charged powders is carried out by the Finite Differences Time Domain method. Part of the non-linear partial differential equations of the model are solved by means of an implicit scheme, the remaining part by an explicit upwind scheme. The disadvantages of other possible solutions are discussed, For an application the comparison between calculated and measured results is considered.

Abstract: | In this paper the transient analysis of pulsed electromagnetic field in a two-dimensional domain filled by ions and charged powders is carried out by the Finite Differences Time Domain method. Part of the non-linear partial differential equations of the model are solved by means of an implicit scheme, the remaining part by an explicit upwind scheme. The disadvantages of other possible solutions are discussed, For an application the comparison between calculated and measured results is considered. | |
